Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Closing on wrecked trailer

My husband and I are suppose to close on land and Trailer package deal tomorrow. The trailer is'nt new looking anymore. The trailer people say they will fix it,but ordering parts will take a couple of weeks. They are saying we either close tomorrow are we lose it. You can see daylight through the trimming in the ceiling area, etc. Please give me advice. Thanks Diane

Re: Closing on wrecked trailer

Well, you may lose your earnest money, if you paid any. Don't Close. Let me say that again, unless you are too concerned about losing your earnest money -- Don't Close. Think about it. The land has been there for 60million years. The trailer has been there almost that long. If you don't buy it, no one else will in the afternoon or the next day. You think it smells (and looks) like a bad deal and it probably is -- walk. Tens to Hundreds of people call me a year to get out of the trailer deal you still have time to get out of. Run. Don't Walk.
