Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
conflict of interest with neighbor
my neighbor also used to be my coworker. i quit and went on to better things. we are still neighbors. her (now)husband was interested in me first while we were coworkers. i was not interested but i did talk to him for a couple of months. i kept this from my (now) husband. she has had a grudge against me for some time now and has told my husband about me and her husband talking (before we all got married)and has also told my husband some other things that i had told her in confidentiallty and as a friend. i'm not sure what her intentions were, but thankfully my husband and i are still together. needless to say we are not friends anymore but are still neighbors. i want to put a fence up
between us, we both own 2 acres of land. can she be made to pay half of the expenses for the fence. it will be satisfying to us both not to have to see each other as we are in our yards.

Re: conflict of interest with neighbor
There is no way to force her to contribute to the cost. Maybe you could find a disinterested third party to negotiate with her and convince her of the mutual benefit of the two of you sharing the cost.
