Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
My daughter recently moved into an apartment rental. This complex puts you on a list and when one comes available you get the call. She noticed when moving into her unit that the former renters smoked. She notified the owners and they sent a guy in to clean the vents, clean the carpet and spray. None of that helped. All of her belongings and all of her clothes now reek of smoke. She smells like she just smoked a pack when she exits. What are her rights?

None. She should have refused to lease it until it was okay.
