Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

declaratory judgement

I had a mortgage loan. several months ago,I got a call saying that the loan officer that did my loan committed fraud. They investigated and found that I didn' have anything to do with it. So for my troubles they said that they would saticfy the loan any any obligation. I sold the house in April of this year.today I ceived a letter saying that they inadvertenly and by mistake cancelled the deed and are asking for lis pendens and reformation, declaratory judgement and equitable relief.

What can I do? Can they get a judgement without this going to court? what kind of attorney can help me?

Re: declaratory judgement

I've never heard of a loan company completely forgiving a loan. I need more information about the facts. Hopefully you got something in writing that states who and why they forgave the loan. You need to get a real estate litigation attorney to help you sort things out as soon as possible.

Re: declaratory judgement

You need to discuss the matter with a real estate litigation attorney without further delay. Don't discuss this matter with anyone else until you do.
