I deeded an achre of land to a cousin who died without a will. The property has never been probated. What happens to it?

It goes to his intestate heirs and creditors pursuant to law, and one of those heirs needs to file a probate. If your cousin has a spouse and/or children, they get it, generally after his debts are paid. Absent children or a spouse, siblings and parents come next.
