Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

I just discovered that my husband forged my signature on my car title, transferred the title into his name and pawned the title. I have already filed for divorce (without a lawyer). What are the steps to prosecute? I purchased the car before we were married. I finished payments after we were married. His name was never on the loan or title.

This should be an indication to you that you need a lawyer in your divorce case (and he/she will answer questions about the car).

You have already made one very large mistake.

NO divorce should be filed pro se, and a divorce against a felon guilty of forgery or theft certainlhy should never have been filed pro se.

You need to immediately retain a lawyer and determine what you should do. That likely will involve doing real divorce papers rather than a form. It may or may not separately involve a criminal case.
