Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Division of Property

My grandmother (still living)owned 20 acres. She has 3 children my father(deceased) and my 2 aunts. I did not realize that the land had been split until 1-5-03. It was split on 6-21-02.

I had asked one of my aunts on 1-5-03 was I entitled to any of the property. She told me that they (my aunts) had assumed that since they had been helping my grandmother for the last 10 years at about $200 a month and taxes that they were entitled to the land, and my grandmother signed.

I have yet to talk with my grandmother- But is there anything that I can do.

One of my aunts said that I should tell them how much I thought I was entiled to and they would subtract their cost and give me the remainer.

Help Please

Thanks

Re: Division of Property

Your mother can do whatever she wants with her property. You should take anything your aunts offer you.
