Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

eviction after purchase?

Daughter

Purchased Home 2005

DeKalb County Lithinia, Georgia

Received: Eviction letter

Problem: 1}Bank says they own home and she owes them

2}Individual says he owns home; she pays him payments now

3}Bank may have sold house or 2nd mortgage lies somewhere because 4}she can't verify which bank owns it and 5}Individual writes her and says house goes up for sale on Dec.6,2005. Where does she begin to verify she is the owner and how can she keep her home in her name? Will it be expensive? Can there be more than one owner like 2 banks or 1 bank and one individual? Is this a foreclosure or a bankruptcy? The house has had several owners over the last 10 years.Thank you,--name removed--

Re: eviction after purchase?

There is really no way to respond to the question as posted. She will need to have someone review all documents, correspondence and the county records to ascertain the owner of the property and any outstanding liens or interests.
