Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
My father is allowing relatives to live free in his house. I have attempted to tell him I believe they could now be considered squatters as there is nothing in writing regarding them being there. He doesn't believe that is the case. Can you tell me if I am correct?

No, houseguests are not squatters.

You're incorrect.
There's no such legal term as squatters. Your father is permited to have house guests, or to give free rent, and leases do not have to be written anyway.
