Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
My fiance owns his home but pays lot rent, the land owner wants to evict me and my 3 children because he thinks my child stole a necklace from his grandaughter who does not live with him, there is no proof that it was taken by my child but he wants us to leave in 30 days. is it legal for him to evict us with no grounds. he is allowing my fiance to stay but wants my kids out. what can i do? i was told that he just doesn't like children but there was no lease agreement saying that no one with children could not move in, there are two other families with children renting lots from him.

If there was no lease , then he can kick you out for any reason or no reason. He must give 60 days notice.
In addition, in the absence of a lease (or if the terms of the lease so allow), the landlord can pursue eviction with proper notice but it would be a horrible mistake to get to that point if that is the case. An eviction suit stays on public records and credit reports, and future landlords (and creditors, banks, credit cards, and EMPLOYERS), check credit reports. We do not know who is right or wrong based on a couple of sentences, but taking it to that point if the landlord has that right would likely do you much more harm than good no matter what the outcome is.
