Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

I've filed a mechanic's lien on a property where the owner didn't make the final payment for work done. Now the owner has given or sold the house for $10. How is that legal with the lien in place and what are my options from here? Thanks!

Selling or transferring the house does not mean the liens go away. However, since you probably know you have a limited time to act on the lien anyway, this is probably a red flag that you need to take action to collect sooner then later.
