Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Flooding into house after closing

I closed on a house 2 weeks ago. When it floods it comes into the sun room. There is about 2 inches of standing water. Do I have to pay to have this fixed, or does the Realestate people?

Re: Flooding into house after closing

It depends on whether the condition that causes the flooding was a latent (i.e. hidden) defect that the seller/agent knew about, but failed to disclose. If so, you can possibly rescind the deal or sue for damages and repair.
