I had a friend who took my fridge and he keeps making reason why I can't have it what is the right way of getting it back

You posted in the part of Law Guru that deals with deeds and house closings, so very few lawyers in the correct area of law will see your post. But if someone stole your property, you call the police and have them arrested. If you loaned them an item and they don't return it, then you sue them in Magistrates Court.
