Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
Someone gave me a mobile home which had to be moved from parent's land. While preparing it for the move,it broke the frame and could not be moved by hauling or towing it. Parents told me it was my problem an d gave me until June 1, 2010 to remove it and clean lot. I paid individules to help me get it broken apart so I could have it ready to bulldoze and clean up. I had porches and shingles removed and was trying to salvage as much as I could to offset the expenses of the cleanup. But, on 5/19/10, the parents called me and said they've had a roo-off dumpster delivered and the person I was hiring to load the remaining debri and for me to keep what I had already removed, except to return the concrete blocks.I personally think that once they found out the roof material was in good shape, including the rafters, they decided they wanted them. Their daughter signed and gave me the title and bill of sale. I spent money for demolition, had the porches removed, hauled materials as we removed them. When I reminded them that they gave me til the 1st of June, they said they we just tired of seeing it. My question: what are my rights? Their daughter valued it as $7,500., her dad witnessed it and her mother notorised it. What should I do? The person that demo. it knew it was mine.
