Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Heir Property

My father is deceased. There is a person interested in purchasing the property and has already offered all of the other heirs $1000 each. My brother and I are not willing to sell for that low amount. The property is what I call prime property within the city of Atlanta. My father died in 2000. How do we keep the person from just taking the property?

Re: Heir Property

If you and the other heirs own the property together, they cannot sell the property without your consent.
