Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
Hello,
I am behind on my rent and told the landlord that i would pay on 1-21-11. He then posted a note on my door stating the late fee and court cost that I would have to pay in order to stop eviction. Can he charge me court cost if he hasn't filed an eviction yet?

He may have filed for the eviction, but not yet served you yet. Or, he may simply be telling what he intends to do and how much it will cost you to get out of default.
