Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

HOA Insurance issue

As a result of an ice storm in Athens, Ga a tree branch damages a fence wall of my unit. Under the bylaws, each owner is responsible for maintenance of this wall. My HOA president states that since this was 'an act of god' I am expected to make my own repair. Doesn't the HOA insurance cover this?

Re: HOA Insurance issue

What your HOA president says does not matter. What does matter includes the terms of your bylaws and contents of the HOA insurance agreement. You should examine those documents first.
