Home Owners Insurance Search

I'm trying to track down who carries the home owners policy for a property in which a family member was injured by. Is there a searchable database based on property location?

I just spoke to my insurance agent. He confirmed what I already thought, which is that there is no database which has this information. In my practice, I write a letter to the homeowner on behalf of my client, advising that we are going to be making a claim and ask that he/she forward my letter to his/her carrier. If I don't get a response to that letter, I just file suit and that usually gets the homeowner to turn the matter over to the carrier.
