Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
Homeowner Association Dues & Fees
I have an empty lot on Stone Mountain in Conyers, GA area code 30012. The lot is in a subdivision that charges yearly dues as well as a large ''water&road assessment service charge''. I want to know if I am legally responsible to pay this fee since not only is my lot empty I have no road leading to the property. I have no way to get to the property. The subdivision is full of extremely wealthy people who seem to want to stone wall me into selling the property for nothing. I want to sell the property but the realtor I talked to said she could not list the propery without a way (roadway)to reach the property. How and who can I speak with to get a road to my property and Am I responsible for this water & road assesment charge that they want to charge me.-Thanks for any help you can give me.
