Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Homeowner Association Responsibilities

Is there any way an individual could sue me personally if I belong to an incorporated homeowners association in which they were hurt on a piece of land held by the Association? And if not who exactly do they sue?

Re: Homeowner Association Responsibilities

Anybody can sue anybody for anything; making it stick is the tricky part. I represent a number of HOAs and I do not think you have any personal liability based on the limited info you gave. If anyone has any liability, (although this is unlikely) it would probably be the assn. Hopefully, the assn has insurance.
