Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
illegl entry into residence
I have several documented cases of someone entering my residence. They always turn the alarm off and never reset it. Sometimes the front door is unlocked, sometimes just the back door, once both doors were locked, but the alarm was off, and my personal effects were taken out of the laundry basket in the bedroom and laid out on the toilet seat. On Friday, March 29, I came home from work, and the alarm was off, the back door was unlocked, my pantry door was open, and a cabinet door was open. I have gone to the apt. manager, and we have changed the locks on all doors, and changed the alarm code. The police think this is a case of sexual assault. What can I do?

Re: illegl entry into residence
Well, no court can help you without evidence. So, you have reason to believe someone is entering. So, who. You need to set up a method to capture the intruder on film -- a 24 hour internet survey camera that they cannot disconnect or a camera or a private investigator. If you can show that it is the Manager of the Apt complex or an Apt employee, you have yourself a lawsuit that is worth a good bit of money.
