Land dedded to children

What legal document would allow us to deed land to our sons and daughters but protect the land from getting lost in a divorce.

You don't need any document to allow you to do this. YOu just sign a quitclaim deed or a warranty deed. However, you should consult with a local attorney. about preparing these.

It is inadvisable to prepare and handle real estate transactions yourself. My experience as a real estate attorney has involved countless situations where individuals misused deed forms or made mistakes in the process that ended up jeopardizing their ownership and that of their intended heirs. It is safer and more cost efficient to have a lawyer handle your land conveyance for you.
