My landlord said I could have a dog and now they say I cannot. how much warning do they have to give me?

The answer depends on the lease. You didn't tell us what it says. If the lease is silent on it, you can have any dog you want. Ifthe lease says no, you cannot.

If you have no lease, then you can, but be aware that the landlord can throw you out on 60 days notice.
