Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Lien

Our neighborhood HOA is run by homeowner volunteers and they are constantly threatening liens on peoples homes for breaking convenences. Do you have to pay the lien and do they have to get an attorney to issue the lien so it's legal? I've been told in GA that liens from a HOA doesn't really mean anything.

Re: Lien

No one here has your HOA documents and covenants and you provide no information about what they say. Read them and you will likely find some answers. We also do not know what "breaking convenences" means. Anyone who tells you HOA liens (or debts) don't mean anything is very mistaken.
