Liens
If I paid the house taxes on someone else property, do I need to take a lien against house until debt is paid back to me?

Re: Liens
You should consult with a local attorney to review the whole situation. Based on what you have said, it could be argued that your payment was a gift.
Re: Liens
There mere fact that you pay taxes on a property does not mean you can necessarily place a lien on the property. Since we have no additional facts, no one can tell you what you can or cannot do based on your post.
Re: Liens
That would be a good idea; however, if you do not have the proper documents to do so, you could be sued for placing an unauthorized lien on the owner's property. My firm is experienced in real estate liens. Please feel free to call us if you want to pursue counsel aimed at having a legal lien.
