Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
I live in a condo association. We are on a flood plane and the association carries the flood insurance. We recently had a flood and approximately 18 units were damaged. After reviewing the insurance policy it was discovered that our property management company renewed our policy fo only 50% of the value of the property. Needless to say when the checks were distributed we were only compensated for 50% of the damage. Is there any recourse that can be taken either against the management company (which has since resigned) or the association?

Your most likely course of action would be against the association. You would need more specific facts to pursue either the management company. However, you may have a derivative claim against the association.
