Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Multiple owners of a property

My Dad died over 50 yrs ago leaving my Mom with 5 kids. The farm on which my parents farmed and built their home together was then left by my paternal Grandfather to us 5. I'm the youngest at age 51. We have lost 3 siblings and have had to ''buy out'' 2 of those brother's properties. Another brother who we will call ''C'' died about 2 yrs ago leaving his estate. He has 2 kids, both adults, by prev marriages. His wife, we'll call her ''M'', at time of his death has 3 adult children by prev marriages. ''M'' died about a yr after ''C'' & left her estate to her children which we are told includes part of this farm. Before any of my siblings died, we signed a life estate for my mother for as long as she lives. She is 88 now and lives alone in the same house built by my Father and her over 60 yrs ago. The home is in bad shape and we asked about a Grant for repairs. We were told that the life estate would have to be legalized which meant that the 3 children of ''M'' must sign. They have refused. They refuse to sell their part of the property to the biological kids of ''C'' and claim to have a buyer. The farm has never been divided or surveyed. We are seeking an attorney and need to know if we have any rights in this matter. Please help us!

Re: Multiple owners of a property

This is a complicated matter that requires a lot of attention. This is not the format for this. But, you need to file a petition in Superior Court to settle all the claims, clear it up, and get it straightened out. You need to find a real estate litigation attorney.
