Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
Neighbors dumping on our property
We have 26 acres and recently were looking along the property line to begin a chain link fence installation. We discovered the neighbor which has a very long but very narrow strip of land (approx 200 ft. Wide) had dumped all the tree trash from where he had cleared a road and cleared a house building area on our property and destroyed the property markers and many trees.
What are our legal rights?
We plan to get a lawyer and sue within a week. We also suspect he has moved property markers from where we had our land surveyed on that side.

Re: Neighbors dumping on our property
Your neighbor has committed a trespass. You are entitled to what it would cost to remove the debris and restore the property to its original state. If it turns out that he has indeed moved the property markers, you are also entitled to the cost of having the property re-surveyed and marked.
