Notice of Rent Increase

We signed a lease almost 12 months ago (1 year lease in Georgia). Our lease expireses in less than 8 days. Today our landlord brought us a new lease with an increase in rent. Is there a certain amount of time in which a landlord has to notify the tenant of an increase in rent?

Re: Notice of Rent Increase

For better or worse, the landlord can insist on higher rent. There are no restrictions. Each periodic lease is a separate contract unless your original lease had renewal provisions.
