O.C.G.A. 44-5-14

can somebody please explain Georgia O.C.G.A. 44-5-14 Presumption of grant on 20 years possession --When the lans is subjectto entry and grant,20 years' possession of land under a claim ofright shall authorize the courts to presume a grant.

I think it means if I have owned the land by possession and deed for 20 years its like a grant.I'm in a property dispute and wonder if this is what it means

Statutes, such as the one you mentioned establish baselines. They are further defined by case law; therefore, you will be well-served by employing a real estate attorney to assess your individual circumstances in order to determine how the existing law impacts you. Please feel free to call me in the event that you wish to pursue this.

You may be better off clearly stating your situation, rather than trying to get someone to explain statute to you. If the dispute is significent, you probably need a real estate lawyer - that is a lawyer who primarily practices real estate law and not someone who simply takes a case in any area.
