You are asking for guesses. You either need to get the pleadings from the lawsuit from the court clerk's office, or have someone do it, to see what happened. To see whether you qualify for a loan, apply for a loan or speak with a mortgage company. Of course the judgment will harm your score. To get your score higher, there is no mystery - pay your debts on time.

You got sued because you violated your agreement with your lender. If you did not tell your lender where you moved, the court probably allowed service by publication.

It is very unlikely anyone will loan you money with that judgment, and your credit at this point is ruined.

The question you didn't ask is more important. Do NOT buy a home until you clear that judgment. The lender can domesticate it in Georgia and then it becomes a lien on your home. They can also garnishee your wages and bank account.

With a judgment that big, if you qualify, you may need to file bankruptcy. Although short term that also impairs buying a home, clearing that debt ultimately, after a few years, will make it easier (and it may actually boost your credit score by eliminating the debt).
