Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

A person asked me to keep two four wheelers on my. The local police said after 30 days, it is legally my property if the fail to pick it up or pay me for the use of my land and or storage.

Can someone please elaborate on this. Do I need to file a lien in court, send the person a certified letter, etc?

You can listen to the police, who already broke the law against giving legal advice without being lawyers (and were wrong) or you can listen to lawyers. If you keep the property you have committed a felony. See a lawyer as to what to send the other parties.

You were asked to keep something for someone, presumably AGREED to do so, and now you believe it somehow becomes yours after a certain amount of time??? No.
