Re: Private Road

Possibly, but the law does not approve of a "landlocked" situation. Consult with a local attorney.

Re: Private Road

If your question can be summarized as "Can a property owner keep other people from using the property," the answer is generally yes, even if it is a road. A lawyer in your area who specializes in real estate (not one who claims to handle any area of law) can likely answer your specific questions pretty quickly without "research." If the facts are that this is just a road you find convenient, as opposed to a necessity, you are much less likely to get a favorable response. Finally, neighbor disputes are not good, and often get much worse. Whatever the dispute (if there is one), try to work it out without lawyers.
