Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Im in the processess of buying a house. I ahve not signed my final contract, and today I found out that every one in my neighborhood sewage line is in my yard. Am I bind to that contract, if I wasnt disclosed that in the beginning, or can I back out now since I haven't signed the final contract?

It depends on what you mean by "every one in my neighborhood sewage line is in my yard." If you mean that raw sewage from your neighbors is physically running off into your yard, then you may be able to get out of the contract. If you mean that there is a sewage pipe that runs underneath your land, and that sewage pipe services your neighbors, you will have a tougher time getting out.

Consult a Georgia real estate attorney (like me!) with the specifics of your situation. A real estate attorney can tell you what your options are regarding the sales contract and how much it will take to attempt to unwind the transaction.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******

From your post, it doesn't depend on anything other than whether you have or have no signed a contract to purchase the house. If you have no signed a contract to purchase the house, you have no issue. However, we don't know what you mean by "final contract." If you have signed anything at all, we don't know what it is and you chose not to tell is.
