Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
Have a property that is co-owned. A fire recently destroyed the house. I want to sell and get rid of it. The co-owner doesn't want to budge on anything. I am considering filing a petition to partition the property. I was wanting a copy of the legal forms I need and any other forms I have to file. Any other advise would be appreciated!

There is no standard form or any form I know of. Partitions are from a pro se project and really need counsel.

Superior Court proceedings are not just fill-in forms. A partition is very expensive depending on how much the other party contests it, and then the property is normally sold at a discount. Both sides often lose, which is why these cases are not often filed even with good lawyers.
