quit claim

my ex husband signed a quit claim to the house which was purchased during the marriage, as an agreement during our divorce but the house went into foreclosure. if i transfer the title into my name now that the divorce is final, will the foreclosure show on my credit report if i choo

se to sell the property? my name was never on the mortgage loan or the title.

I don't think you realize what a foreclosure is. A foreclosure means the lender or whoever buys it on the courthouse steps will get the property (or already has, if the foreclosure has taken place). In that case, the quit claim deed would likely be worthless.

Apparently, you didn't record the quitclaim deed. Unfortunately, the foreclosure will proceed. I would advise you to consult with a local attorney.
