Real Estate/Mortgage

As co-signer on a mortgage, the owner passes away and the will gives the property to a relative, (I'm not related) who owns the property?

Re: Real Estate/Mortgage

Being a co-signer on a mortgage does not create ownership rights in property. Only a deed may do that. If you are on the deed, it depends on how you held title.
