Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
I recently signed a purchase and sale agreement on a house, and I made an offer to te seller. The seller counteroffered back and I agreed to it. However, the listing agent entered 2 other offers to the seller that seemed to just pop up right before accepting the offer in the system. We had to do a multiple offer disclosure form and my offer was not chosen, the seller chose the highest offer. I asked the listing agent if I could offer te seller $1000 more than what the highest offer was. She told me no, because there offer was accepted in the system. I asked if they had a signed contract from the buyer and the seller and she told me no, not yet. My question is, can I make an offer to the seller since they do not actually have a signed contract from both parties?

You can make whatever offer you want. You can make a back-up offer. The seller does not have to even consider any of them. Why are you not asking these questions of your agent?
Surely you have a buyer's agent, don't you? (A buyer's agent represents you and works with the seller's listing agent). Your agent can best answer you.
