Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Recourse for bad plumbing in recently purchased home

Hello. I purchased my first home in

late April. Since moving in we have

had many plumbing issues,

culminating in having to have the

main sewer line and the water main

from the house to the street

replaced. The plumber who did this

work said this issue should have

been disclosed by the sellers. We

had the home inspected, but this

did not include running a camera

into the sewer line. The line was full

of roots. No one had lived in the

home for 3 years, but the plumber

believes there is no way that,

during the renovation, the sellers

were not aware of the plumbing

issue. Just wanted to know

whether we might be able to get

reimbursed for these costs. Thank

you!

It may be possible to get reimbursement. However, more facts need to be investigated. Consult with a local attorney.
