rental

My rental home is in terrible condition and the landlord has not fixed the home. I don't feel that the home is safe for my family anymore. what can I do?

You can get estimates for reasonable repairs, fix the problems (or not), and take your landlord to small claims court to recover the amount required to fix the problems. You do not have the right to fix the house and withhold the rent - you must recover in small claims court and there is no guarantee that you will win.

You may also terminate the lease and move if the landlord is required to make repairs, but has not.
