Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
I am renting a room with amenities in a private home for 500 a month. My "landlord" decided she would change our verbal agreement to just a room only. I did not agree or pay when rent was due and told her I would look elsewhere for lodging. What is my legal recourse?

Your legal recourse is to move. Absent a written agreement, you are a tenant at will. At most you may have a right to 60 days notice of changes. You cannot prevent changes in terms or rent.
