Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Security deposit

My roomate and I had an agreement that I would give 30 days notice before moving out, otherwise she would keep the security deposit. However, I was forced to leave without giving her notice because she jeopardized my safety. Do I have the right to sue her for my deposit even though I left without giving her notice because I feared for my safety?

Re: Security deposit

I would go after her. She can't fault you for not complying with the notice provision if she prevented you from complying.
