I am curious to find the legal statues(Georgia)on how long an apartment complex has to notify you of any money due, either back rent, or for damages. And if they can hold your deposit from you if you are not there to sign the Inspection Acceptance form once having move out. I signed the form when I moved in, but was not notified when the move out Inspection was to be.

Check our web page for the law. However, from memory, I think they have to offer the tenant the right to inspect or go with the LL on the moveout within 5 days after the end of the tenancy. Then, all Sec. Deposit issues should be resolved in 30 days or the LL has to state why, if at all, it is keeping all or part of the SD.
