Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

He stole my house - now says it's harrassment to sue him

I am not sure where to classify this question - I lived with a man that is a licensed realtor. After much abuse, I left my home to get away from him. He made me quit claim the house to him, telling me that would make us partners. I could not sell the house out from under him, (he had done a lot of work there (labor, I paid for the materials) and it seemed fair. There was $60K in equity in the house. Ultimately he sold the house, kept the money, and left me with the $25,000 in debt. Every time I have contacted him to get my money back he has dragged me to court for stalking and harrasment. I have done neither, but he suceeded in get 2 tro's against me.

This time I am going through the courts - I have found a lawyer who has written and filed a complaint to take him to court for this - but his lawyer has replied that this is just continued harrassment and if it does not stop, I will be back in court.

During our last trip to court (2 and a half years ago) the judge told me if I want my money back to do it the right way and take him to court.

Can taking someone to court for monies owed be considered harrassment?

I do not think it is proper for me, as an attorney, to comment on your situation. You should consult with another local attorney who can review the whole situation.
