Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
Suvivorship Deed
Husband and I own property as joint tenants with suvivorship. I have recently found out he has gift deeded our property to a minor child he had out of wedlock. I searched property records and now my name is no longer on record books in courthouse. I knew nothing about this and I signed nothing gift deeding this property to this child. Is the survivorship deed still legal? What can I do?

Re: Suvivorship Deed
Your interest cannot be transferred without your signature on a deed. It is unlikely your name is "no longer on the record books," since deeds generally do not disappear. Perhaps he transferred his interest, and not yours.

As an attorney experienced in real property, I suggest that you hire an attorney to examine the title and initiate an appropriate legal action.
