Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Title New Property

We are buying a new house for cash. I want to put my daughters name on the Deed, but I want to phrase it so that she has no rights to the house until my hundand and I are deceased. If we should want to Mortgage it at some point or sell it, I do not want to have to have her permission to do so. Thank you.

Re: Title New Property

Since you did not provide a reason why you want to do this, I want get into several reasons why it is a bad idea to even try it, but the best way to make sure there is a title problem is to DIY. If you want full control, she is not on the deed. You can try a trust, but that is way beyond a DIY project, and you'll need a lawyer who specializes in that. Simple solution - change your will.

I would just put the property in yours and your husbands names. Then, leave it to your daughter in your will.
