Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

title transfer

My parents are getting older and would like to transfer the ownership of their home and land to me. The property is paid, free and clear of and debts, assessments, liens, or any other obligations. What is the best and least complicated way of doing this? Can they donate the property to me with a simple form notarized and submitted to the court and county assessor office?

Re: title transfer

The simplest way is just for them to sign a deed over to you. HOWEVER, you MUST consult with a a CPA because there could be dire tax consequences.
