Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Tree Damages

I have a tree on my property and some of the limbs hang over to the other property. High winds caused a limb to break and cause damage to the roof of the neighbors roof. The tree is apparently healthy and I was not notified about any problems with it. I wanted to know if I am liable for this damage.

Re: Tree Damages

You are not liable under these facts. However, if you even suspect that your neighbor might take legal action, you should consult with a local attorney to see if any other facts need to be investigated.
