unable to aquire proof of moble home title

My husband and I purchased a lot that had an older moble home on it,inwhich we remodel. Went to get my property refinanced and the title to the moble home on the propery can not be found. The Tax Com said that it had ''fell through the cracks'' in the late 80's or early 90's, I'm not sure but I've been here over 4 years. The previous owner no longer has it and I can not find company where it was first purchased.. Can and how can I aquire a title or work around this?

You will need to hire an attorney experienced in mobile home real estate closings to help you. From my experience doing these closings, title work on mobile homes is actually much more labor intensive that title work on traditional real estate.
