Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
I understand that closing attorneys represent the lender in Georgia when there is a loan. Who do they represent though when it is a cash purchase?

There is no closing attorney when there is no loan. The buyer and the seller may have an attorney to represent them separately. In rare cases, an attorney drafts the purchase documents without representing either party, but that is not advisable.

It depends on who hired the attorney and what the parties decide in the original sales contract, where that decision should be made.
